The Denmark-Albania Association is established in Copenhagen

A historic date of Albania has been chosen for the establishment of the association “Denmark-Albania”, to mark the beginning of the journey of a new Albanian association in Denmark. On November 28, 2021, with the initiative and care of the Honorary Consul of Albania, Hans-Georg Nielsen, the Danish writer Claudia Westh Looning, Linda Kabashi, and a group of our compatriots, among whom Ixhet Lutfiu and Safet Lalucci.

Many Danish friends were present at the ceremony, benefactors of Albania and the Albanian world, as well as members of the Albanian community from Copenhagen and beyond.
The opening speech was held by the former Ambassador of Denmark to Albania, Karsten Ankjær Jensen, who participated as an honorary guest.
Following the tradition, the dedicated activists Ibrahim Xhemailji, Ixhet Lutfiu, Bedri Bytyçi, Adnan Aliti, organized the festive program for Independence Day, with the elegant moderation of the journalist Belkisa Selmani.

The participants followed enthusiastically the wonderful group of children under the direction of our passionate compatriot Nevzat Qamili, as well as many other artistic pieces from the popular fund of our folklore.

Ambassador Elida Petoshati wished November 28, Independence Day, to those present and to all compatriots in Denmark. She assessed the establishment of the Association as an important moment not only for the further strengthening of the consolidated Albanian-Danish friendship but also for the promotion of multiple ties between our two peoples.
